Analysis of the disassembly, maintenance and alignment process of the clamp coupling

2017-07-29

Finding the coupling is one of the important tasks of the machine installation. The purpose of alignment is to make the center lines of the driving shaft and the driven shaft on the same straight line when the machine is working. The accuracy of alignment is related to whether the machine can operate normally, and is especially important for high-speed machines.

It is difficult to achieve accurate two-axis alignment, and it is even more difficult to maintain accurate alignment for continuously operating machines. The uneven thermal expansion of various parts, the deflection of the shaft, the uneven wear of the bearing, the displacement of the machine and the uneven sinking of the foundation, etc., are all reasons that it is difficult to maintain the shaft alignment. Therefore, when designing the machine, it is stipulated that there is an allowable deviation value for the center of the two shafts, which is also required when installing the coupling. From the assembly point of view, as long as the couplingWhen torque is transmitted to the ground, the greater the allowable deviation of the two shaft centers, the easier it is to meet the requirements during installation. But from the perspective of installation quality, the smaller the deviation of the centerline of the two shafts, the greater the alignment., The better the operation of the machine, the longer the service life. Therefore, the allowable deviation of the alignment of the two shafts when the coupling is installed cannot be regarded as the margin left by the installer's hasty construction.

The housing coupling does not need to move axially when assembling and disassembling, so the assembly and disassembly is very convenient. The disadvantage of the housing coupling is the low accuracy of the axis of the two shafts, the structure and shape are more complicated, and the manufacturing and balance accuracy is low. , It is only suitable for occasions with low speed and stable load. Generally, the linear velocity of the outer edge is not greater than 5m/s. When the linear velocity exceeds 5m/s, a balance check is required.

The clamp shell coupling uses two clamp shells split along the axial direction, which are clamped by bolts to realize the connection of the two shafts. The torque is transmitted by the friction between the two halves of the coupling surface, and the flat key is used as an auxiliary connection.

In order to balance the situation, the bolts should be installed in reverse and reverse phases.Jacketed couplings do not have axial, radial and angular compensation performance.

The characteristics of the vertical clamp coupling are similar to those of the clamp coupling, simple structure, easy to assemble and disassemble, suitable for low speed (circumferential speed of 5M/S), no impact, and stable vibration load. It is suitable for occasions The connection of agitator and other vertical shafts.
